Jason, is one of Switzerland’s greatest and most recent discoveries
Hurdles and I are daily companions and rivals. Ten hurdles stretched over 110 meters outdoors – five hurdles over 60 meters indoors. Despite – and thanks to – these challenging hurdles, I have earned the Under 20 European title and numerous Swiss Championship titles, set the Swiss record and won a number of awards. I am fortunate that my team also includes my family: my father acts as my masseur and dynamics trainer and my mother manages my affairs allowing me to concentrate on my training along with studying for my business degree in Reinach (Baselland) and St. Gallen. My team also includes my coach Philipp Schmid, from Athletics Club LC Therwil, and Claudine Müller, my sprint and hurdler coach. Joining us soon will be the successful coach Werner Dietrich, the man who discovered not only the three-time shot-put World Champion Werner Günthör, but also the 2014 European Champion in 400 meter hurdles, Kariem Hussein.
Since 2018, I have been one of the ten Swiss named as Potential World Class Athletes. Swiss Athletics has high hopes for my journey to world-class status. This trust drives me to overcome whatever obstacles face me and to attack my next big goal – the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.
